FIALOVÁ, Pavlína
Social networks are an integral part of contemporary society. For many people, it can be hard to imagine being so-called offline and not connecting to any of the available social networks during the day. The aim of this thesis was to conduct a survey of which social networks are used in low-threshold facilities for children and youth to communicate with their clients. The work is specifically focused on this institutions in the Vysočina region. Another goal of this thesis was to determine the course of communication between these facilities and their clients during the state of emergency (COVID-19) and the form of its application. Following the objectives of the work, three research questions were chosen. The first question focused on the purpose of using social networks. Through the second question, obstacles in communication between low-threshold facilities and clients were identified. The third question examines whether online communication helped to maintain contact between low-threshold facilities for children and youth and clients in times of emergency. The diploma thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part is divided into three parts. The first part characterizes social networks together with their features, distribution, description of specific social networks and there are also risks associated with them. The second part is devoted to social services, their distribution, the registration required for their performance and quality standards. In the third part, the social service low-threshold facility for children and youth is specifically characterized. Together with the mission, goals, target group and principles of service provision, the basic activities that are provided as part of this service and the course of the service are mentioned here. A qualitative research strategy and the technique of semi-structured interviews were used for the practical part of this thesis. Open coding and data categorization were used for analysis of the detected data. The results of interviews with individual low-threshold facilities for children and youth show that social networks, especially Facebook and Instagram, have gained their place in the provision of this social service. They are used to communicate with clients and the public for informational and preventive purposes and also to promote them. It was also found that social media had an important role during the state of emergency (COVID-19). The results of the practical part of this thesis can be an inspiration for other low-threshold facilities for children and youth or for facilities providing other social services. The diploma thesis can also serve as a source of information for students, the non-professional or professional public.

Valentová, Michaela ; Moree, Dana (advisor) ; Košák Felcmanová, Alena (referee)
Purpose at work. Motivations of Workers of Selected Low-threshold Facilities for Children and Youth Bc. Michaela Valentová Abstract Diploma thesis focuses on the experience of purposefulness of employees of low- threshold facilities for children and youth. In theoretical part low-threshold facilities are firstly conceptualized as a part of Czech organized civil society. Secondly, relevant theories of purpose are introduced. In empirical part, qualitative research is conducted by in-depth interviews with nine employees of two typical civil society organizations. Workers of low-threshold facilities for children and youth construct their purpose around four categories: helping clients, professionality, work ethics and self-development. Each of these categories brings specific consequences for their organizations. The theory expects purpose to be inspirational for others, however research participants do not reflect on the possibility to inspire their clients that way. This work suggests it is caused by workers' strong emphasis on professionality which creates borders in relationships between clients and workers and also limits the possibility to inspire one another with purpose. Keywords low-threshold facility for children and youth, civil society organization, CSO, non-profit organization, mission, meaning of...

Burianová, Kateřina ; Kohoutek, Tomáš (advisor) ; Valešová Malecová, Barbara (referee)
Diploma thesis "The course and long-term effects of animation as a method of working with adolescents" deals with the methods of working with endangered youth in the field and in the low-threshold facility for children and youth. It represents the reflection of the development of the methodology of the work of a particular organization in the Vltava housing estate in České Budějovice in the perspective of six years, when the author also worked here with a break. This time perspective makes it possible to help assess whether and to what extent the chosen approach appears to be effective. Above all, it allows to monitor the development of clients' life paths during a sensitive period from adolescence to adulthood. The potential of animation over other guiding and prevention systems can be to focus on activation, respect for life situations and the needs of clients, which are largely developmental, but also reflects social and psychological deficits in specific individual cases as well as in group life. Phenomenologically and ethnographically oriented research follows the previous author's qualification work and monitors the development of the contact center client community in the context of workers' suggestions and spontaneous life events. It is also complemented by a trio of individual case studies...
